How Do I Make Clinic Reservations?

To make a clinic reservation, please call 434-979-1200 or email info@voicesforanimals.org. Reservations are required.

Clinics are equipped to handle up to 100 cats, but these spaces fill up quickly. If you fail to get a reservation, please check out our spay/neuter certificate program.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your clinic reservations so that we can give those spots to someone else.

How Do I Bring Cats to the Clinic?

For the safety of the cats and our volunteers, all cats must be transported to the clinics in humane box traps (pet carriers are not acceptable). To borrow humane traps and attend a short training session on safe, humane trapping methods, you must attend one of our trap-loan/training sessions.

What Medical Care Do the Cats Receive at the Clinics?

Cats at clinics are sterilized and vaccinated for rabies and distemper. They also receive deworming medicine, topical flea treatment, ear mite medicine, a long-term antibiotic shot, and pain medication.

All cats are eartipped for identification. This involves the veterinarian cutting off the tip of the cat’s left ear while the cat is under anesthesia. Ear-tipping identifies the animal as a feral cat who has been sterilized and vaccinated.

Obviously sick cats will be tested for FeLV/FIV and may be euthanized if suffering from an untreatable illness at the discretion of the veterinary staff.
